When it
became incredibly clear that USC was going to make this year’s Parents Weekend
and Halloween Weekend one in the same, I think I can speak for everyone when I
say that we were all pretty excited by that idea.
The
scantily clad antics typical to Halloween would undoubtedly be that much more
perfect with everyone’s parents there to watch the whole thing, right?
Right.
“I had a
really great time at all the Halloween parties this weekend!” says Jennifer
Gil, a senior. “Waking up early to hang out with my parents the next morning
was definitely the best part though.”
Many
students even relished in the excuse to decline celebratory invitations.
“A lot of
my friends kept asking me to hang out,” says Adam Rind, sophomore. “I was
really glad I had my parents as an excuse though, because to be honest I don’t
actually like my friends very much, or Halloween for that matter. What a
relief!”
Some even found ways to really get in the spirit as a family.
“My
family and I have always loved Halloween, so this was a perfect opportunity for
all of us to be together in costume.” explains Will Borrow, freshman. “My Mom
came dressed as a MILFF ““ Mom I’d Like To Facebook Friend.”
I
personally had the joy of explaining to my Dad that the girls crossing the
street next to us, literally in their underwear, were just dressed up as Captain
Planet. That’s all. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a conversation as much as
that one.
All in all
it was a very sexy parents weekend, and I can’t remember why we never tried
this out before!
