Former Attorney General of the United States and member of the Cornell class of 1960, Janet Reno is making her way back to Ithaca on Thursday. With the election 6 months away and lots of hot issues at hand, Reno wanted to come back and speak with current students about an issue that has been very much unaddressed throughout the whole process, the legalization of marijuana.

“I used to think it was a big deal when I was in office, but the truth is, I tried it after I retired, and all I could do was come up with cool ideas,” Reno said. While many disagree with her, some are very excited to have her come up to the podium and speak her mind on the matter. “I’m going to roll one up, light it, pass it, and then take another hit before I get on stage. I just want to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and blazing truly gives me that ability.”

Tickets are on sale now through the event titled “Legalize It” through the university and it will take place Thursday at a venue to be determined on the amount of tickets sold. This is bound to be an interesting speech and all Cornell University students are invited.
