I’d like to state that I am not an alcoholic. But I do like a good drink. What I don’t like is going down to DJs/Chucks/Lucys/Flip Night and waiting for seemingly decades to get to the bar only to find out their drink selection is based on lackluster liquor and even shittier beer. By John Friedman, Manager, Chipotle Mexican Grill It’s been a full week since I opened Chipotle on Syracuse University’s Marshall Street, and all I can think to myself is how freaking easy it is to take money from you people. I mean, damn, I’ve got hundreds of students lining up outside my restaurant literally... MORE »
Following a water main break at clothing retailer J. Michael’s at the beginning of the semester, Syracuse University’s famed street for shopping and dining has been under construction for over a month now, with street closings, blockades and repairs in place every hour of every day. Unfortunately, the recent efforts have still shown zero... MORE »
Famed Chipotle Mexican Grill, founded in Denver in 1993, has swept its commercialized Mexican food across the nation. When Maggie’s was... MORE »
A Syracuse University student with a keen eye for the obvious has boldly predicted that every store on Marshall Street will be a “sandwich shoppe” by year’s end. Ronald Carlson noticed that there was a new Jrecks Subs on the popular shopping avenue, replacing “whatever the hell used to be there.” Jrecks now joins Subway,... MORE »
The day started like any other for SU economics junior Sara Wyann, when after exiting from her 8am class in Huntington Hall, stopped in the Marshall St Starbucks for a grande gingerbread latte. As Wyann went to pick up the holiday cup latte, she faced the barista responsible for making it and made her nearly... MORE »
Marshall St. forced to close off road, turn pedestrians away as class skipping students flocked to the famed block. As more and more students ignored their class schedules in lieu of pizza, bubble tea, and Slider’s Belgian fries, Marshall Street swarmed with said slackers. The popular eateries and cafes could not contain the masses of... MORE »
For our EEE 382 class, we were asked to develop a marketing plan for the entrepreneurial support site Kiva.org. Our objective was to either create an event to raise money for the site, or to create and execute a marketing campaign that will raise awareness and garner some sort of publicity for Kiva. We opted... MORE »
