University Union Cinemas will host a free Halloween double screening of Drag Me to Hell and The Orphanage October 28-October 31st at 8 p.m. University Union Cinemas will host free screenings of movies every weekend throughout the year for SU students.
Drage Me to Hell, the 2009 horror film from director Sam Raimi (Spiderman films) follows the story of a young loan officer who has a fatal curse put on her by a gypsy woman.
The Orphanage, the 2007 Spanish language film from debut director Juan Antonio Bayona, follows the story of a woman who returns with her husband and adoptive son to her childhood home, an orphanage. She soon finds that they are not alone in the house, but that the spirits of the children who once lived there are among them.
Films are shown on North Campus at Huntington Beard Crouse’s Gifford Auditorium on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m.. The films will also be screened on South Campus at the Goldstein Student Center in 201 ABC on Thursday and Sunday nights at 8 p.m. University Union Cinemas is a subdivision of University Union.
