During Tuesday’s caucus in Colorado, 20-year-old University of Colorado student Peter Lucas Smith attempted to “glitter bomb” Mitt Romney. His plans were foiled mere seconds before that sweet, sweet glitter could rain down upon Romney’s always-perfectly coiffed hair. Still, Smith is being charged with several misdemeanors as a result of his actions.

Smith has reportedly stated that he does not regret his actions and planned the glitter bomb to protest Romney’s entire political platform.
According to sources, Romney’s campaign strategists were most outraged by Smith’s attempt to completely defy everything they’ve been striving for in their campaign.
“Throughout this entire process, we’ve had one goal in mind: don’t let anyone get to know him,” said one Romney aide. “All you need to know is he wears great suits, has great hair and a smooth voice, and he’s running for President. Then this kid comes along and tries to do something to make him stand out.”
Added the aide, “Thank god Secret Service stopped this from happening. That could have been a campaign killer for sure.”
If convicted, Smith faces up to six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.
