Everyone’s got that girl…she lives in your building, on your floor, is in one of your classes. You see her everywhere and she refuses to acknowledge your existence. Here’s my ode to you.

We’ve all got one, in spring through fall,
The evil girl from down the hall.
She may be short, or maybe tall,
The evil girl from down the hall.

The other day you made us cry.
We waved to you and you walked by,
Without even a wink of reply,
In the elevator left out to dry.

I say “what’s up” on campus today.
Did she just flip you off? they say.
You did! You did! I can’t stand tall,
The evil girl from down the hall.

Perhaps we play music too loud,
Perhaps we laugh too much,
Perhaps we stole your candy once,
But our offenses you do touch.

For evil girl from down the hall,
We cannot help but love you.
Your dark, cruel ways attract us,
And we know you love us too.

So evil girl from down the hall,
For once just knock on the door.
Be kind, be cold it matters not,
For you cut us to the core.

And when you leave we’ll spit and whine,
And miss you all the more.
We long and long for your devilish call,
The evil girl from down the hall.

Come visit, you know who you are.
