Think to yourself, just for a second. Close your eyes and go into your mind’s eye and think of the best wizard you know. Now. Okay, now some people will have actually closed their eyes at this point, we’ll call that an experiment in natural selection.
For the rest of you check this out.
That’s a Wizard. Yes. Everything that is fantastic and beautiful about a human being with added powers! These guys can shoot puppies out of their eyes if they feel the need. PUPPIES LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. Okay, okay I can hear you all right now. “Oh Scott, when would an omnipotent being need to shoot puppies from their occipital sockets?” Listen guys, that’s not for me to decide. The point being that they can shoot anything out of their eyes.
Next topic: Wizards and you
Say there little Timmy, what are you reading?
“Oh this? It’s just a book called Harry Potter!”
And you little Susie what book is that?
“Oh this is a great book about a WIZARD called Wizard of Oz, it’s an allegory for the industrial revolution and the gold standard in turn of the century America!!!!”
Oh ho wow! Kids sure do say the darndest things, but seriously look at those influences. We have seen two examples of wizards being pushed into the minds of young children in a way that is unprecedented by any other mythical creature. As a country we need to take a step back and take a look at how important it is that all wizards are given the respect they deserve. They are obviously all old men with wands that totally aren’t creepy or anything like that.
In summation I look to the majestic words of the reggae- punk band The Police
“Devil and the deep blue sea behind me
Vanish in the air you’ll never find me
I will turn your flesh to alabaster
Then you’ll find your servant is your master”
