So almost 6 months ago exactly I had this great idea of posting music every Monday. It worked really well that first Monday (so not really at all), but then I got sidetracked by, well, drinking 4 days a week and somewhat succeeding in school. So forgive me for being absent (read: honestly i’ve been living the dream and am not sorry), but now that I’ve finished my work until finals I once again return on with some bangers for you today. So, without further ado, hopefully Calvin and Hobbes and these songs make your Monday a little better….
This song Where Them Girls At by David Guetta is about a week old and it’s pretty amazing. David Guetta’s beats seem to be getting a little repetitive, but Flo-Rida and Nicki Minaj do it justice.
The Cataracs come back by producing another club hit, In The Dark, with Dev singing over this hit again (she’s the vocals behind Bass Down Low). It’s called In the Dark, and you can listen/download it above.
This song is just a radio preview of Swedish House Mafia’s new song Save the World Tonight, but it’s too good to wait to put up until the official version is released. Wait till it drops and ignore the tags and you won’t be disappointed.
This song isn’t a club dance song like the previous one’s I put up (yea, I know, I love electro dance beats, get over it), but it is a dirty song nonetheless. It’s by a relatively unknown artist Phil Ade and called Second Chance.
This is another rap beat that I’ve been listening to all weekend. There’s something about the beat that i can’t put my finger on that just has me playing it on repeat. It’s called That’s Just Me by XV, and you can get it above.
Finally, a couple youtube videos for your viewing pleasure. I just thought they were some cool videos to go along with the songs – if you want download links, just let me know and I’ll put ’em up:
Remady P&R – No Superstar. This is a banger that my friends and I have been listening to for a minute now, and if you haven’t seen it yet check it out.
Let It Go – E-Hos featuring Patrick Donovan. This is a collaboration between a couple of up and comers on the music scene. Check it out, this is a pretty good song.
Well, that does it for this post, hopefully these songs will help to make up for my month-long absence. And now I’m off to a date with my pillow. Enjoy your week readers
*Update – forgot to put a song on this list the other day. It’s called ready 2 go by martin solveig, and you can download it here:
