ESPN and the Winter X-Games have just announced a partnership to have a charity event at Cornell University’s “Libe Slope.” The sport calls it an exciting move which will attract more college-aged fans to the sport. It is to take place in February 2013, obviously assuming that there is snow.
The course will start at the top of the slope, which is very steep and could cause riders to pick up a lot of speed. The snowboarders will then be asked to make a left onto Campus Road, then directed around the roundabout to the left on Stewart Ave., and through the finish line, which will be at the intersection of Stewart Ave. and East Buffalo St.

This is a great event for the Cornell community and tickets are almost sold out. Shaun White is scheduled to come and a special contestant by the name of “The Hawk” will be riding. Be sure to buy your tickets and experience this amazing event!
