We all remember Clippit, don’t we? Well, if you don’t maybe this will job your memory….Clippit was our good friend from Microsoft word who used to pop up at the most convenient times to give us helpful hints about what we were doing.

Mark Zuckerberg remembers Clippit. He is now trying to bring a version of Clippit to Facebook. His name; Bookit. Clever huh? Bookit will be a book with a face on it (get it?) that will open its pages to expose helpful hints or tips for using Facebook or help you with a task you are trying to complete.

Features will include; “I see you are trying to stalk [insert name here]. Maybe try checking out their most recent mobile uploads to see what they have just been up to.” Or “I see you have been looking at [insert name here]’s page and never writing anything on it. They probably don’t like you if they haven’t written on your wall. Stop looking at their page, it’s starting to freak me out.”

Other helpful hints entail; “I see you are trying to make a status from a song lyric. Stop it. Don’t do that.  People maybe ‘like it’, but they just feel bad for you. Try leaving it blank, no one really cares what you are doing anyway. Or maybe you should get a Twitter.”

As Facebook learns more and more about our lives by invading our privacy they are able to create more and more features that creep us out.

What will they come up with next?!

Additionally, just like Clippit, you can “x” Bookit out if his hints are not useful or he is just annoying as fuck.
